JOB SUMMARY

The City Head- Fundraising will be responsible of individual, high-net worth/UHNWI and direct fundraising/income generation. She/he will delivery individually and lead, supervise and manage a team of fundraisers and lead through example for the purpose. This position requires a passion and drive to work in an evolving social sector organization. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for income generation targets, by thematic area from the team allocated
  • Acquire, onboard and manage Ultra-HNIs. Planning and executing events to share CARE Programs with larger numbers of high net worth individuals and build acquisition pipelines for self and team.
  • Leveraging volunteering and employee engagement develop Partnerships with medium to large corporates for regular and/or payroll giving
  • Responsible for managing a team of fundraisers working on donor acquisition and retentions.
  • Responsible for managing individual donor acquisition & retention strategy across city, and for monitoring and its progress toward monthly acquisition and retention targets.
  • Must be able to build new, and strengthen the existing relationships with key donors, build fund-raising capacity of fundraising team and inducting new staff for fundraising 
  • Use existing donor database and create bonding / trust with the donors.
  • Corporate fundraising entailing employee giving, matched giving from employers and direct donation from small to medium corporates
  • Motivating the team to improve contact with donors to introduce new product like trusts and wills.
  • Hold weekly meetings; discuss task delegation and review issues
  • In conjunction with Line Manager set quarterly & yearly targets and objectives
  • Assist in the retention of team members
  • Weekly work plan to line manager
  • MIS report on weekly basis to line manager

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Direct line reporting to Manager- Fundraising

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential – 

  • Leading Fundraising Team
  • Market research on fundraising 
  • Experience to handle corporate partnership (individual), UHNWI customer.

Preferred- 

  • Graduate/Postgraduate
  • A minimum 4-5years’ experience in relevant field.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Communication skills:   Able to articulate and communicate well to all stakeholders (both verbally and in writing) in a manner that meets the different needs of different audiences.
  • Language skills:   Good command over English, Hindi language (Verbally).
  • Research skills:  Identify potential prospects from untapped locations, corporates, individuals & UHNI for future fundraising opportunity
  • Team Management & Collaboration / People skills- Capable to coordinate with team members & other department and provide support
  • Strategic Thinking and Analysis: Capable to identify SME’s, corporate partnership for employee engagement, crowd funding platforms etc.. in terms of income generation aspect
  • Change Management:  Good time-management and ability to work to tight deadlines. Willingness to work odd hours (if necessary).
  • Operational excellence (Project / Program / Process management):  System driven in approach to management. Meticulous with an eye for details.
