**Job Title:** Consultant- Research Associate

Established in 2006 as a public-private initiative, PHFI strengthens education and training, advances research and technology, and facilitates policy and practice in public health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with a national presence through its regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research.
**Job Location:** Gurugram
**Project Overview:** This position supports a collaborative project between IIT Bombay and PHFI/IIPHD focusing on tuberculosis (TB) modelling. The project aims to evaluate the impact of nutrition supplementation on TB treatment outcomes and to estimate the long-term impact of interventions using mathematical modelling. This work is part of a larger National Disease Modelling Consortium focused on several infectious diseases.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct systematic reviews, including protocol development, literature searches, quality appraisal, data synthesis, and manuscript drafting.
* Develop and implement mathematical models using R software/Python, including model development, assumption framing, execution, and manuscript preparation.
* Liaise with IIT Bombay and government agencies as needed.
* Coordinate with PHFI’s finance section on administrative and financial matters.
* Prepare and deliver presentations for meetings, conferences, and workshops.
* Contribute to teaching/training activities at IIPH-D (as needed).
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator/Co-Principal Investigator.
**Qualifications:**
* **Essential:** Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
* **Essential:** PhD or MTech or equivalent degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR MSc or equivalent degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
* **Desirable:** PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
* **Desirable:** Prior experience developing and executing mathematical and statistical models, with demonstrated experience in infectious disease modelling.
* **Desirable:** Proficiency in MS Office, R, and Python (or similar statistical software like Stata, SPSS).
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
**Duration:** 10 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
