Our flagship WhatsApp Chatbot, TAP Buddy, offers electives such as Visual and Performing Arts, Coding, STEM, and Financial Literacy.

**Role Summary**

 

* **Location:** Remote

* **Time Commitment:** Full Time

* **Compensation:** Rs. 500 per Hour

* **Time Commitment:** 10 to 12 hours per week

 

**Key Job Areas**

 

**Role Description**

 

* Lead the design and development of conversational flows for TAP Buddy, a WhatsApp bot designed to engage and assist students.

* Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into conversational experiences.

* Identify design problems and incorporate conversation design principles.

* Create user-friendly, engaging, and intuitive conversation flows in Hinglish that reflect TAP Buddy’s friendly and enthusiastic persona.

* Develop conversation design best practices, including intent mapping, entity recognition, error handling, and fallback strategies.

* Conduct user research, A/B testing, and analysis to continuously optimize conversational designs based on user feedback and engagement metrics.

* Ensure all conversational elements align with the tone of voice guidelines established for TAP Buddy, ensuring a consistent, approachable, and supportive user experience.

* Monitor the performance of the conversation designs and make necessary adjustments to improve user engagement, response accuracy, and overall interaction satisfaction.

* Document all conversation designs and flows, ensuring clear communication with developers for seamless integration.

* Mentor junior conversation designers and contribute to the development of internal guidelines and design standards.

 

**Must Have**

 

* Strong understanding of conversational AI, including natural language processing (NLP) and intent-based dialogue systems.

* Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles as they apply to conversation design.

* Ability to analyze conversational data to improve flows and user experiences.

 

**Good to Have**

 

* Familiarity or Expertise in designing conversation flows for WhatsApp bots or similar platforms.

* Experience with conversation design tools such as Voiceflow, Botmock, or similar platforms.

* Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.

* Experience with WhatsApp Business API or other messaging platforms.

* Exposure to working in the education or non-profit sector, especially in projects targeted at students.

* Previous experience mentoring or leading small design teams.

* Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and user research for iterative design improvements.

 

**Skills**

 

* Minimum 5 years of experience in user experience design across products and services.

* Proficiency in languages like Hinglish and experience in creating content that resonates with a young audience.

* Strong understanding of conversation design, design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.

* Ability to design, moderate, and analyze User Research

* Ability to create simple Graphic Design collaterals like posters, stickers, GIFs, and videos.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (designers, developers, product managers).

* Knowledge of HTML/CSS; and JavaScript.

**Compensation**

 

Compensation is provided at par with the sector benchmark for this position in alignment with the individual’s prior experience and qualifications.
