We are looking for a curriculum co-lead to drive the curriculum development in various states and contribute to overall curricular thinking within the organisation. This role will work in close partnership with the Curriculum Lead.

Our strong belief in the impact of experiential learning is what makes this role ambitious and unique. As a curriculum co- lead, your efforts need be directed towards attempting to create a shift in the current learning mechanisms in schools. The candidate must also be familiar with and open to developing expertise in experiential learning pedagogy, and identifying ways to integrate it into the government system. The candidate must also possess skills required for driving a young and enthusiastic team towards the organisational goals in a non-hierarchical manner.

Role and Responsibilities-

Curriculum Design & Leadership alongside lead/ co- lead

  • Articulate curriculum goals and track various team’s progress
  • Standardise curriculum development processes across teams 
  • Facilitate exchange of insights/learnings across teams
  • Identify curriculum priorities based on emerging data & organisational goals
  • Assume leadership while creating new designs/ experiments & standardising work
  • Allocate resources across projects.
  • Hire and induct new people into the team

Curriculum creation:

  • Facilitate program design for various states using ULF’s learning principles & frameworks
  • Work closely with the operation teams during implementation
  • Display an iterative approach to design & build capabilities in the team for the same
  • Work with the M & E team to generate insights & integrate them into design
  • Visit programs during implementation to gather insights & learn
  • Review curriculum frameworks based on field insights  

Team Development and management

  • Organise weekly, monthly & quarterly team meets. 
  • Identify capacity building needs & organise sessions for the team. 
  • Review the content created by the team, and share feedback and ideas on the same
  • Plan 1 on 1 sessions with the team, and coach them on their developmental needs. 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • At least 10-12 years work experience as a curriculum or instructional designer.
  • Ability to identify program and team needs and support them accordingly
  • Ability to identify and research relevant documents, studies, and data
  • Ability to observe and assess the needs of different learners
  • Knowledge of different learning theories and methods
  • Detail oriented in nature
  • Relevant experience in experiential learning design and facilitation. 

Desirable skills :

  • Experience in working in classroom settings for a minimum duration of 2 years
  • Highly creative/entrepreneurial in nature, along with an active interest in continuous learning. 

Location: Can be based anywhere in India with readiness to travel to as per need (6-8 days a month)

Compensation:  Aligned market compensation norms of the development sector. 

Note: The joining location & induction would either be at our Bangalore office or in Delhi (NCR).
