The opportunity

The Data Analyst will be an integral part of our Impact Measurement and Advisory team working on designing and building evaluation, research and data solutions that address our client’s needs and create measurable social impact. They will be directly responsible for:

• Supporting in the development of research and evaluation methodologies for social intervention programs with philanthropic foundations, non-profits, social enterprises, multilaterals and government
• Performing econometric and inferential analysis for various research and evaluation studies
• Supporting with concurrent monitoring and evaluation through quantitative analysis of secondary data sets and MIS data sources for programs
• Developing systems to monitor, compile and analyze routine survey data and monitoring data
• Creating data quality parameters and monitoring data quality on a regular basis 
• Improving data check mechanisms
• Enabling automation of data management tasks for various projects
• Coordinating all software and data related issues with the IT and project teams
• Performing data cleaning, labeling, coding and related tasks 
• Developing project specific data dashboards and visualizations for decision making 

Key qualifications and experiences 

We are looking for exceptional individuals who are passionate to work on data and quantitative approaches for social impact. He/she will support the designing and implementation of quantitative assessments and research studies that contribute to informed decision-making and action, and have the following profile: 

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in economics, statistics, or other quantitative disciplines of social sciences
• 1-4 years of experience in conducting quantitative research or evaluation studies, data analysis, data visualization and data management
• Strong knowledge of quantitative methods of data collection and the ability to analyse data
• Experience of working on observational, experimental or quasi-experimental studies will be preferred
• Experience of working on social impact or development programs will be preferred
• Experience and proficiency in at least one of the quantitative software packages – STATA or R  
• Ability to use insights from data analysis to prepare high quality reports in PPT or Word format  
• Excellent communication skills
• Agility and the ability to adapt to and thrive in ambiguous situations
