The Opportunity:
The Data Analyst will be an integral part of our India Data Insights team who will work on creating data assets using secondary data sources available in the public domain which will provide actionable insights to our platform users – corporates, NGOs, foundations, academicians etc.
The data analyst will work closely with Senior Data Analyst and data experts within Sattva to achieve the intended outcomes.
We are seeking a committed and diligent professional with 1-3 years of relevant work experience who will:
- Conduct secondary data research covering multiple development sectors.
- Mine data from secondary sources.
- Analyse data and identify actionable insights.
- Design, create and publish data insights in the form of data visualizations (reports, interactive dashboards, presentations etc.).
- Maintains a well-defined, structured and cleaned database
The Data Analyst plays a key role in maintaining a robust database of secondary data for use by internal teams as well as external clients, and will have a good opportunity to interact with leaders in the social impact sector.
What we are looking for:
Ideal candidate should have:
- Excellent research and data analysis skills
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of analytics and BI tools (Tableau will be an advantage)
- Exposure to automation techniques for data scrapping, wrangling etc. would be an added advantage.
- Meticulous attention to detail and numbers
- Good sense of visual presentation and aesthetics
- Active interest and understanding of India’s development sector and policy landscape
