Job Opportunity for Data Insights Analyst at The Better India

We at The Better India are looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic person to join us as our Data Insight Analyst and help us in building and “better”-ing processes and strategies with only one goal in mind – large scale positive impact. (There will be many smaller goals within the realm of large-scale positive impact, but we’ll address that along the way.)

We have a strong core team consisting of ISB alumni, having several years of industry experience in building products, companies and solving challenging problems at scale. On this mission, we are backed by some of the most respected investors – Elevar Equity and Intellecap along with a slew of angel investors including Mahindra Group’s Anand Mahindra, Padma Shri Awardee Mohandas Pai, Myntra’s Raveen Sastry among others.

What would you work on?

With a monthly reach of over 250 million across platforms, Data and insights become super critical to the success of our business. If you have the skills to simplify complex data, generate insights, develop and communicate recommendations through storytelling, then this is the role for you

• Understand user segmentation for The Better India by examining users for website traffic, engagement and insights for editorial teams around the content consumption patterns
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales and product teams to understand business needs and presenting data from platforms for relevant use case
• Generate business insights by combining multiple data sources (user level, campaign level) to generate comprehensive view of user activities and behaviours
• Participate in the product roadmap process and help define measurement framework, set target metrics, and measure progress against goals for campaigns
• Participate in strategic discussion, goal setting and make recommendations based on insights

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a hustler who is as good at executing ideas as coming up with them, and someone who thrives in and builds through chaos, action and a fast-paced startup vibe. Our ideal candidate is someone with immense curiosity and passion for problem solving, numbers and everything in between! Apply if you

• Have 3 – 5 years of total experience with a minimum 2 years experience in a high growth startup/consulting; Experience working in a digital subscription or publishing business would be an advantage
• Experience working with data from multiple data systems and databases
• Have solid understanding of Excel including advanced Formulas and macros
• Have the ability to examine data critically to extract meaningful insights
• Are really good with numbers and logic and can learn and do anything
• Have a strong understanding and experience of working with tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio and other BI tools
• Have a keen interest in the impact sector and a strong purpose at heart
