Job Opportunity for Director – Flipkart Foundation at Flipkart in Bengaluru

Job Description:

This Leadership position as operating lead of Flipkart Foundation is responsible for successfully achieving the overall mission of the Flipkart Foundation by providing overall direction along the agreed key focus areas, managing the day-to-day operations, and ensuring operating excellence. This position is responsible to accomplish the objectives and goal of the foundation while keeping the Board updated on the same. Additional responsibilities and duties include but are not limited:

• Work closely with the Foundation Board, Flipkart leaders and other critical stakeholders in developing and realizing the overall Mission and Vision of the foundation.
• Ensure close and strategic relationship with the Flipkart Companies to ensure effective implementation and reporting of the CSR projects.
• Build and promote the Flipkart Foundation Brand internally within Flipkart and externally with key stakeholders.
• Scale up existing channels of resource mobilisation and build new innovative ways to enable a culture of giving in broader ecosystem to widen the pool of donors
• Identify and promote strategic cooperation with Government and other like-minded organizations.
• Continuously work with the Board and other key stakeholders to develop innovative programme pipeline.
• Implement CSR projects in partnership with the implementing agencies.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans and undertake rigorous monitoring of the CSR projects to ensure impact achievement and adherence to governance processes.
• Align the internal policies and governance mechanism of the Foundation with Flipkart Company and other best in class Global foundation and Flipkart.
• Build the internal capacity of the Foundation through recruitment of key professionals and creating and implementing plans for their learning and development.
• Develop and implement transparent processes for grants management and records management, including due diligence and oversight.
• Establish effective and transparent internal controls, ensure proper fund utilization in line with the foundation’s annual budget and manage periodic external financial reviews and audits.
• Institute and manage a communication plan and system for expressing the brand image of the foundation consistent with its vision, mission and culture.
• Ensure timely completion of all the Foundation related statutory compliances.

Skills Required:

Understanding of NGO landscape, Foundation operations, fund raising, grant management, monitoring and evaluation, written communication and verbal presentation skills in English,  project management and execution, experience of working with Govts, social sector and development mindset. Able to work under pressure, handling complex situations and relationships, delivering against tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high attention to detail

Location:

Bangalore,Karnataka

Education/Qualification:

Postgraduate or MBA from reputed college/Institution. Education in social sector and related areas is an added advantage.

Desirable Skills:

Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively. An understanding of SDGs and present challenges associated with SDG achievement in the India. Familiarity with Tech led Social impact.
