## District Program Lead – Mysore

**About the Role**
The District Program Lead will work towards establishing a model district as a unit of change. You will own mini-projects within the overall program and work closely with the team and the education department (DIET/DDPI office) to drive the education intervention. You will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating the existing program design and implementation methods focusing on STEM programs in Mysore District. You will be part of a team of 1-2 other leads whose projects together define the scope of the district education reforms program. While receiving guidance and support from the program leadership, you will drive the mission of enabling relevant stakeholders to lead continuous and sustainable improvements.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
* Assess and analyze existing government projects and devise plans to strengthen them.
* Improve the learning cycles for every official by improving the feedback mechanism from the ground.
* Lead and co-create the journey of education change through programs with the district education department.
* Develop a strategic plan aligned to the scope and focus of the projects.
* Create action plans to lead change efforts in districts using existing tools and programs.
* Review existing structures and processes, and work with concerned officials to implement improvement projects.
* Build strategic partnerships with various organizations and stakeholders, including NGOs, Knowledge partners, Design Consultants, Govt. Agencies etc. and create a partner engagement framework to coordinate and monitor the efficacy.
* Establish effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes.
* Promote STEM education in the district and ensure that the STEM lab is used for regular classes for students.
**Experience and Competencies Required**
* Minimum 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in working with Govt. stakeholders or in the education sector.
* Strong alignment with the cause of reforming the Govt. education system.
* Strong interest in empowering schools through system-level interventions.
* Awareness of different state-level initiatives in Karnataka towards education transformation.
* Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs with BRC, DIETs office is preferred.
* Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
* Fluency in Kannada and English are mandatory.

**Remuneration:** An annual CTC of INR 6 Lakhs onwards (depending on competency and experience)
