Position Title: Documentation Officer (Level – Assistant Manager)

Location: Varanasi / Delhi

We at Grameen Foundation India are looking for a Documentation Officer who is passionate about crafting well-researched reports and articles. She/ He must be self-driven and should be able to express ideas through text according to set specifications, adhering to stipulated editorial guidelines.

The person must have a deep commitment to creating an impact in the rural sector.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Communications/Journalism/Creative Writing/English or associated fields.
  • Experience of working in the Rural Management/Agribusiness/Rural Finance/Development sector would be an advantage
  • Expertise in English writing & proofreading.
  • Sound editing skills with the ability to write in a detailed, factual, and convincing manner.
  • Ability to analyze information, statistics, and other metrics received from the field for writing the report.
  • A fair amount of understanding on Financial Inclusion/Rural Finance/Digital Payment Services/ Sustainable Livelihoods/ Agriculture, Women’s economic empowerment etc.
  • Experience of graphic designing using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Canva etc. would be an added advantage.
  • A prior experience of 2-3 years in a similar role.

Essential Job Functions:

The main job duties involve researching, writing, and organizing ideas. Additional duties may include conducting interviews, reviewing products or services, working with a creative/graphic designer.

1. Write and compile project-related documents viz. project reports, articles, blogs, etc.

2. Follow and implement best practices of effective writing, English language and grammar, and proofreading.

3. Provide support in compiling experiences and stories from the field on key thematic areas of financial inclusion/BC network / Agriculture, Women’s economic empowerment, and any other key projects of Grameen.

4. Coordinate with the project teams to deliver the assigned work as per the agreed timelines.

Reporting and relationships: The position will report to the Associate Director, Knowledge Management and Program Communications.
