Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.
About IIPH – Delhi:
The Indian Institute of Public Health-Delhi (IIPH-Delhi) is a joint initiative of Government of NCT of Delhi and Public Health Foundation of India. IIPH-Delhi commenced its operations in November 2008 with the launch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Health Economics, Health Care Financing and Health Policy Program targeted at mid-career health professionals. Since then, IIPH-Delhi has expanded its activities and offers on-campus programs, E-learning programs and short term training programs; conducts policy relevant public health research; and undertakes advocacy in public health. IIPH-Delhi is a vibrant hub of public health education, training, research, practice and advocacy in Delhi NCR. It is currently housed within PHFI headquarters in Gurgaon.
Deliverables:
- Manage and maintain Director’s schedules, appointments, travel arrangements.
- Arranging and coordinating office meetings, events, and administrative activities.
- Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents.
- Prepare background documents for meetings, consultations and workshops.
- Record, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.
- Monitor, respond to and distribute incoming communications.
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials.
- Receive and interact with incoming visitors.
- Interact with internal and external clients.
- Assist and coordinate project based work.
- Review office operating practices and implement improvements where necessary.
- Supervise and train junior staff.
- Responsible for end to end recruitment process and on-boarding process for assigned projects/ division of IIPHD. Ensure recruitment process is managed as per laid down process and within the timelines & budget. Ensure hiring are done effectively and optimally focused.
- Responsible for the management and updation of the records for all individuals associated with the projects/ division of IIPHD. Ensure accurate data is centrally available at all time.
- Handling off-boarding/separations process and ensure timelines are followed.
- Contribute to other HR related activities as assigned.
- Liaison with internal teams such as Finance, Accounts, Admin, IT and other projects.
- Any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification:
Essential:
Master’s degree in Management, Pubic Health or related field.
Experience:
Essential:
- Around 3-4 years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable:
- Experience of working with Government, CSOs, Academic institutions and other statutory organisations, will be given preference.
