About The Role

As Finance Associate, you will work jointly with the Global and India Office finance team to support financial planning and analysis, accounts payable function, supporting resourcing system and project financial information coordination and analysis.

You will be working with the Finance and Operations Manager and Resource Manager. In addition, you will manage tasks such as processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments, reconcile statements, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain vendor records. Your role will involve working closely with project managers and finance team to support project financial review meetings, project financial tracking and analysis requirements.

You will report to the Finance and Operations Associate Manager in India with a dotted line of reporting to the global office in the US. This role will be a full time employment based in the New Delhi office in India, while working closely with team members across global Purpose offices.

Responsibilities

  • Support in project financial management related tracking and analysis. Support budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Support monitor financial aspects of our projects, in partnership with the team of project managers
  • Coordinate financial information between project teams and accounting to support monthly tracking of project expenses
  • Support financial planning and analysis role by closely working with accounting and project teams
  • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks
  • Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Continuing to improve the payment process
  • Maintenance of data in time tracking system & monthly reporting in close collaboration with Resource Manager

About You

  • 3-4 years of work experience in accounting and financial analysis/modelling role
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance with relevant work experience
  • Excellent skills in Advanced Excel, dashboards and data analysis
  • Good communications (verbal and written)
  • Ability to consistently meet timelines being global role
  • Relationships and Interpersonal Skills
  • Global and multicultural awareness
  • Eligibility to work in country
