## Finance & Operations Manager

**Location:** Koramangala, Bangalore, Karnataka, India

 

**Experience Required:** 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a diverse global environment.

 

**Job Summary:**

 

The Finance & Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and providing overall support to the Digital Green team. This role will oversee and coordinate the statutory compliance requirements, day-to-day financial management, and coordinate with third parties for accounting and Accounts Payable processes. The Finance & Operations Manager will also ensure smooth operations for the Bangalore team, supervising the Ops Officer to manage day-to-day office requirements, procurement, travel and events logistics, and more for the Bangalore team.

 

**Responsibilities and Duties:**

 

**Compliance Management (40%)**

 

* Responsible for managing all compliance requirements of Digital Green Pvt. Ltd. at multiple locations (Delhi, Bangalore), including but not limited to: Transfer Pricing, GST, Income Tax, Import & Export, and ROC Compliances.

* Provide technical guidance to the HR team on all labor law related compliance.

* Responsible for coordinating and managing all FEMA related compliances and reporting.

* Responsible for filing all Direct/Indirect Tax Returns with relevant authorities.

* Responsible for smooth audit completion and finalization of annual financials and reporting to relevant authorities.

* Coordinate with the global finance team around global financial audits.

* Coordinate with the global team on execution and management of intercompany agreements and transactions.

* Responsible for coordination with external legal agencies or in-house legal team for any agreement execution by DG Pvt. Ltd.

 

**Financial Management (30%)**

 

* Responsible for coordinating with the external bookkeeping agency to ensure all accounting and financial transactions are as per IAS and DG policies.

* Responsible for monthly closure of accounts as per DG global standards and custodian of all DG Fin & Ops systems.

* Responsible for banking management for DG Pvt. Ltd. on a day-to-day basis and adhering to DG Grants of Authority policy (GoA).

* Review and verify all transactions for DG Pvt. Ltd. & coordinate with the external agency.

* Responsible for managing the cash flow for DG Pvt. Ltd. and coordinating with the global team for invoicing and payment as per DG policy.

* Custodian of DG global policy and protocol to ensure enforcement in DG Pvt. Ltd. day-to-day operation and with the team.

 

**Operations Management (30%)**

 

* Supervise and provide guidance to the Ops Officer on day-to-day office administration management.

* Oversee and provide guidance on procurement and vendor management, from requisition to contracting to payment, working with the Global Ops & Legal team as needed.

* Responsible for approving vendors and ensuring a compliant procurement process is followed.

* Supervise and provide guidance to the Ops Officer on domestic and international travel and logistic arrangements for all team members.

* Responsible for ensuring all policies and processes related to Ops are adhered to by the team, and collect feedback for continuous improvement.

* Coordinate and work with the global team on IT and systems related work, to ensure standards are maintained as per DG global protocol and systems transitions are successful.

* Oversee proper, updated tracking of DG assets in the Fixed Assets Register (FAR), and other Vendor Management trackers.

 

**Qualifications and Skills:**

 

* Master’s Degree in a related field / CA Inter with similar work experience.

* Tech savvy: demonstrated ability to learn, use, and help others navigate new systems.

* Strong judgment and analytical skills.

* Adept at prioritizing and problem-solving; ability to adapt to organizational demands and take on new challenges.

* Experience developing and introducing new processes and/or systems.

* Successful track record negotiating with service providers / vendors.

* Excellent communication skills in English and other Indian regional languages (Hindi & Kannada) both verbal and written.

* Experience managing a team (preferably remote).

* Customer service mindset.

* Prior experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and software to manage travel, procurement, and passwords.
