Position Objectives:

  • To provide PETA India’s Fundraising Department with administrative support, with particular attention to major donors, corporate donors, and legacy supporters
  • To act as a contact for PETA India’s donors and provide them with excellent supporter care

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Handle supporter e-mails, letter correspondence, and telephone communication in a timely and professional manner
  • Generate welcome packs, letters, and responses to PETA India members’ requests for information
    E-mail and mail major donor updates as required
  • Support the Fundraising Department in planning and organising special fundraiser events, sending out invitations, making reminder calls, organising gifts for donors, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure events go as planned
  • Help the department in setting up new fundraising initiatives, such as employee payroll distribution, legacy giving, and setting up collaborations with corporations
  • Ensure accurate records of donor interactions are logged and maintained on the membership database in accordance with PETA India’s data protection policies
  • Act as a primary contact for donors and assist them in the management of their donations
  • Thank donors via phone, e-mail, and post
  • Assist the fundraising team in dealing with donor enquiries
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Maintain and update the department’s paper and electronic files
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties for the department
  • Undertake any other duties required by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Relevant college/university degree
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Experience working with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and a high level of ethical conduct
  • Proven excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively with limited supervision
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
