Hasiru Dala, which means Green Force, is a social impact organisation that works with waste pickers and other waste workers to ensure a life with dignity. Hasiru Dala is registered as charitable trust and works with waste pickers and informal waste workers to integrate them into the solid waste management of the city and gain access to social protection for themselves and their families.

We are looking for a fund-raising professional with at least 4 years of experience raising funds for an organization with four crore budgets.

Role of fund-raising manager:

The person reports directly to the Executive Director and is a member of the management team, sharing collective responsibility to deliver the organisation’s vision and mission. Specific role:

● Co-create a policy and vision or fund raising for the organization

● Research potential donors to gain insight into their priority for their giving and see if it matches Hasiru Dala’s work

● Assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for our organization

● Develop relationships with all program managers of the organization to understand the needs of the community and strategies developed to address the needs of the community. Co-create the deliverables that will be given to funders

● Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors

● Develop and maintain effective donor relationships and retention

● Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities

● Assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution

● Create materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for fundraising

● Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications

● Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basis

● Any other that may be required

Job Skills & Qualifications:


● Bachelor’s degree

● Demonstrable track record of Strategic Fundraising

● Exemplary communication abilities and outgoing, yet poised personality

● Strong leadership skills

● Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

● At least four years of fundraising experience

● Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure


● Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism or related/applicable area

● Managerial experience is added advantage.
