Core function: The Grant Officer will support the Grants Manager and be responsible for management of the Grants from the various National and International Donors in areas including but not limited to financial management, compliance with requirements, coordination on grant execution both internally and externally and trouble-shooting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • S/he will provide technical and administrative support in the areas of financial management and grants management.
  • End to end management of Grant, from project design, to budget preparation, to tracking utilisation, reporting and closeout of the grant. 
  • S/he will be responsible for setting up, managing, and providing technical support related to the grant-making component of the program activities.
  • S/he will ensure that financial and grants management and reporting are compliant with financial management regulations of the organization.
  • Conduct due diligence on grantees in coordination with the project team.
  • Support program team on preparation of program budgets, analysis of grants and expenditure and prepare financial and grants statements for an effective and timely utilization of grants.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Team for disbursement of funds to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors, implementing partners, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits pertaining to the Grants.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Reports to: Grants Manager

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of grants management experience or master’s degree in development studies, business administration, health, finance or a related field plus at least three (3) years of grants management experience.  

Desired Experience: 

  • Experience working with internationally funded projects, and managing grants related to health, agriculture, nutrition, and social services is preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of managing projects that are funded from donor restricted funds.
  • Proficiency in computers, basic software (MS Office)and Accounting software
  • Collaborative working and coordination with various stakeholders

  • Must work with a sense of urgency.

Geography: Bangalore or Delhi NCR. Could change based on the grant/donor requirement 

Travel: As and when required.

The incumbent will be assessed by the Management on the accomplishment and delivery of all components described. The measurement will also include demonstrated elements of commitment, passion, accountability, ideation, flexibility, accessibility, and system and process management as well as the expected work ethics.

Compensation: As per organisation policy on cadre and grade
