Summary of Role

The Head- Digital Marketing & Fundraising will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing and fundraising strategies to be deployed across all digital channels, including email, social media, paid search etc in order to meet Smile Foundation’s targets for growing supporters, engagement and online revenue.

This position will also be involved in developing a comprehensive plan for increasing digital giving and donor participation in an array of online advocacy activities. In addition, they will lead, execution of digital campaigns to increase donor and prospect engagement in online giving and the conversion of website visitors, social media and SMS followers, and advocates to donors.

You would be responsible for working with a cross-departmental team as well as outside consultants, and would be charged with managing and expanding the Smile Foundation’s digital fundraising program. 

And will have the opportunity to push forward our fundraising ambitions in the digital space and make a big impact on the fundraising programme and so your skills will contribute to our on-going mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and/or oversee creation of digital marketing strategies including web, email, and social media strategies, and execute these efforts, aligning key deliverables with organizational objectives, while managing budget.
  • Strategize the digital fundraising plan through individual donors & other stake holders which includes acquiring, servicing and retentions.
  • Work with external digital fundraising agencies to accompaniment of inhouse efforts and achieve fundraising objectives.
  • Drive Partnership with e-platforms for cause related marketing campaigns.
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Research & Development on channels to keep expanding the organization’s presence and increase the spectrum of audience.
  • Moderation of all the agency and in-house platforms virtually on real time and ensure to address the requirement of the situation.
  • Managing & implementing digital campaigns for fundraising, donor engagement, new donor acquisition & donor retention for increasing the support base both in terms of volume & value.
  • Ensure optimization of digital channels and tools to maximize contribution to Comms and Fundraising strategies (SEM, SEO, SMO, inbound, emailing, streaming, etc.)
  • M&E of key metrics deliver on both revenue generation and cost targets.
  • Create & develop new digital fundraising modules to improve Smile India’s digital fundraising which can activate and engage existing supporters & new stake holders on digital grounds.
  • Coordination with communication department in context of content writing of digital fundraising for the organization.

Qualification and Experience

  • Should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, Web Development or a closely related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 9 years of experience with digital fundraising and cross-channel marketing in a non-profit setting.
  • Solid understanding and experience in conversion rate optimization, developing and optimizing supporter/customer journeys, landing pages and e-commerce donation forms.
  • Experience of building and managing successful marketing campaigns across digital platforms to drive income/sales.
  • Demonstrated success in managing revenue-generating digital campaigns, including those executed by external agencies.
