**Job Summary:**

 

The HR Operations (HRDSO) team within the World Bank Group, based in Chennai, India, seeks a skilled HR Assistant to support the Benefits Administration function.  This role involves providing operational support for benefit payments to active staff and retirees, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.  The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for benefit-related inquiries, processing transactions, and collaborating with other teams within HR and across departments.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Operational Support:** Process benefit payments, guide clients on policies and procedures, collaborate with the Compensation team on compensation programs, conduct research and analysis for case resolution, document transactions, serve as the first point of contact for benefit inquiries, maintain data collection matrices, liaise with other departments, respond to client queries via various channels, and adhere to service level agreements.

* **General Support:** Assist in workflow administration, support HR projects, direct staff to online resources, participate in data quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to system upgrades and data management activities.

 

**Selection Criteria:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Behavioral Sciences, Business, or a related field.

* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global shared services environment.

* Experience in customer service environments.

* Strong understanding of compensation policies and programs and related IT systems.

* Strong analytical skills, research and analysis abilities, and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced spreadsheet skills.

* General understanding of HR components (Hire to Retire) and benefits policies.

* Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive situations.

* Continuous improvement mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Experience with case management systems.

* Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS or SAP; knowledge of MS Access is a plus.
