It provides educational access to children, maternity entitlements to pregnant and lactating mothers, income and social security support to parents and senior citizens and universal healthcare to all family members to irreversibly move vulnerable families out of poverty.

Position Summary:

Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The lead will be playing a key role in leading the development and deployment of our products. The products will be internal facing to improve operational efficiency and external facing to enable access to welfare benefits to vulnerable citizens. The individual will also be expected to abide by the org non-negotiables which include attending team calls, filing weekly reflections, and supporting an individual family to move out of poverty.We are looking for individuals whose actions are in line with our operating principles of Listen, Act, and Change. We want individuals who keep the mission at the center of their work. We are looking for individuals who see development as a team sport and constantly work with a growth mindset to improve themselves and others on the team.

Requirements

Role and Responsibilities (including KRAs):

●  Product Manage the PoWER Portal – a tool to track families across benefits, predict eligibility, nudge families and engage with them through chatbots and helplines

● Translate Policy mandates and beneficiary needs into software specifications to promote digitalization of Government to Citizen services. This would be for products like the Education MIS

● Evaluate internal processes and set up a CRM/ ESP to streamline all the Org Dev backbone functions

● Streamline and manage the operational structure within the technology vertical this would include in-house developers, vendors, and volunteers

●  Create sprint plans and work with the team on its successful execution through participating in scrums and standups

●  Work with the Strategy and Learning team to enhance and maintain the Knowledge Management System across the organization.

●  Work on the open sourcing and licensing regulations and manage the same for our products

Behavioral Competencies and Values :

Serving as manager, mentor, and coach to all staff. This includes managing the lead and developers above in their regular activities. Managing the team performance and compliance with the organization’s non-negotiables. Share learning opportunities and enable learning opportunities with the team members to make learning and development a team sport. This would also include hiring new developers, engineers or product managers or working with vendors and consultants.Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in the Tech domain, maintaining partnerships with organizations like Tech For Good, and establishing relations with innovators in the domain.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in solutions design/product management, with at least 3 years with government stakeholders and delivering projects successfully for them; 3+ years of people management experience having directly managed a team of at least 5 senior personnel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and comfort with working on field projects
  • Excellent vendor management skills; someone who can foresee the pendency and work to minimize them
  • Industry awareness
  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Setting clear team goals
  • Delegating tasks and set deadlines for your internal team
  • Ability to visualize and document product life cycles. Familiarity with market research, consumer behavior, and marketing techniques in order to do so.

  • Past Experience in Software Development / Technical Analyst roles
  • Team Player with a penchant for learning and building a team
  • Willingness to travel across India at short notice for government/partner meetings
  • Ability to work with decentralized teams and build trusting relationships with various stakeholders 

Education and Experience:

The position offers opportunities to work in both the technical and managerial side of the Learning Platforms team. As the Technical Lead you will be responsible for new tech developments including supporting the team in developing new codes and platform features along with maintaining the present technical infrastructure. Responsibilities also include working and managing the organization wide data management and developing dashboards. A major portion of the responsibilities also involves you bringing in project management and vendor management skills along with fundraising outreach.

Benefits

Compensation:

The Lead will be compensated between Rs 9,00,000 – 15,00,000 per annum based on educational qualification and past experience.

The candidate would need to use his/her own laptop and the organization will bear the annual maintenance cost upto 12000 per year as per actuals.
