ABOUT PROJECT

Project Samarth is a Digital Literacy project. The project aims to empower and improve the quality of life of young and adolescent girls by imparting them digital literacy to bridge the digital divide. Through the project, adolescent and young girls will be mobilized and trained. The project will set up 3 Digital Literacy centres, two centres in schools and one in community. The project also aims to support girls out of school to re-enrol into school or apply for open school 10th exam. Along with Digital Literacy skills, the girls will be oriented on gender & life skills through the project.

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementation of centre-based activities in community and schools;
  • Lead mobilization of youth to enrol into the centres;
  • Take up sessions to girls on Digital Literacy as per the curriculum, take up learning assessments in the project school based and community based Digital Literacy Centres;
  • Organize regular meetings with Head teacher, teachers, School Management Committee, and parents as relevant to project implementation;
  • Mobilize out of school girl for re enrolment into schools or open school – NIOS;
  • Support Field Mentor in conducting quarterly sessions on gender and life skills;
  • Maintain MIS, database, regular assessment reports of all the girls enrolled in the programme;
  • Carry out the awareness sessions in the communities on Digital literacy importance to parents, community leaders etc.;
  • Utilization of budgets for activities as per laid out Plan India policies and give an account of the same with relevant bills and vouchers;
  • Any other work assigned by the line manager;
  • Daily report on the progress of the project;
  • Participate in weekly review meetings in the project and report progress;
  • Maintain MIS, stories of change, photo documentation of their centres;
  • Support in the reporting of the utilization in the project, through timely submission of bills.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate should possess a graduate in any field;
  • Candidate with relevant work experience of at least 2-3 years;
  • Good understanding on digital component;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills and aware of community mobilization processes.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 30 %
