Roles and Responsibilities

Role: Manager (Finance)

The India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) is looking for a dynamic Manager (Finance) for assessing organizational performance, developing achievable strategic goals and implementing processes under the supervision of the Director (Finance), improving organizational effectiveness and building a sustainable semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulating a comprehensive long-term financial strategy under the guidance of the Director (Finance) for developing sustainable semiconductor & display manufacturing facilities and semiconductor design eco-system in the country in consultation with the Government ministries/ departments/ agencies, industry, and academia.
• Contributing to the multi-fold growth of the Indian semiconductor design industry by providing requisite financial support to develop Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and foundries for early-stage start-ups.
• Establishing suitable fund mechanisms to harness economies of scale in the Indian semiconductor & display industry under the Director (Finance).
• Rendering support to any entity (domestic or global) wiling to set-up their operations in India.
• Carrying out financial risk management responsibilities for the mission and report to the Board of Directors/Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the guidance of the Director (Finance) in discharging the affairs of the financial activities including all accounting and statutory Compliances of the mission.
• Presenting findings, projections and recommend solutions
• Overseeing cash flow, cash management, working capital, and audits
• Preparing financial statements and reports
• Facilitating capacity building for developing a highly skilled, motivated, and efficient workforce.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Ability to oversee all accounting & financial functions of the mission
• 5-8 years of experience in handling the key financial statements of multinational firms
• Excellent program management skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams across government agencies
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with fast-paced decision making
• Strong networking skills with an ability to identify, engage and build sustainable relationships with the support of the director (Finance).
• Good knowledge of the global vendor ecosystem for equipment, raw materials, service & repair, logistics etc.
