Graduation Post Graduation in Finance / Commerce (CA, ICWA Inter Pass is also OK)

Experience:

A minimum of 8 – 10 years experience in the Accounts/Finance team of an organisation and having good analytical skills with following skills:

  • Experience in a Non-Profit Organisation or Non-Govt. organisation (NPO or NGO)
  • Effective communication skills to satisfactorily communicate in English and Kannada
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legal obligations laws like FCRA, GST and Income tax
  • Ability to collaborate working environment with the internal as well as external stake holders
  • Understand the principles and methods relating to all aspects of organisation building, people development and skill enhancement
  • Drive in new technology platforms and advise the senior management if required the transformation into new ERP platforms
  • Ability to lead a group of 10 team members including people in different regions
  • Knowledge of multiple intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations and analysis of the same and report
  • Oversee periodical audits, certification of various agencies and provide the required inputs
  • Fexibility to travel  to various Districts of Karnataka
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties in all processes

Detailed Job Description

The Role: Manage, supervise support the day-to-day operations of the finance and compliance team of the organisation which comprises of multiple donors, multiple projects and programmes which include but not restricted to the following:

  • Manage the General, FCRA and Donor books efficiently and report to senior management
  • Responsible for Budgets for the entire organisation, comparison, weekly, monthly reports and other MIS.
  • Responsible for the various donor reports, comparison with line items as per the terms of the donor and reporting on various variances as well as making early correction.
  • Supervision and Inspection of Payroll in Collaboration with HR dept.
  • Ensure strict timelines in the book closures and reporting, variance analysis
  • Timely Donor and other stakeholders’ requirements like Utilizations Certificates and other reports wherever necessary
  • Attending key committee meetings with regards to Procurement, Donors visit, programme delivery etc and guiding the team with regards to finance and compliance aspects
  • Statutory returns like GST, TDS and FCRA and coordinate with the consultants and stake holders of the same
  • Manage and Supervise the Profit and Loss account of the Self Generation Units
  • Manage, Supervise and Guide the Partner organisations Finance and Compliance functions and periodical visits to regional and project centres
  • Finalisation of books of accounts and preparation of the financials
  • Liaisoning with the Internal and external stake holders including auditors, bankers, and other consultants
  • Responsible to update the Finance manual and provide training RSO partners of APD to ensure compliance.
  • Any other work entrusted by the senior management as and when necessary
