**Job Location:** Global Office Asia – Main – New Delhi, India
**Job Description:**
As Manager, Global Partnerships, Corporations and Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in achieving Room to Read’s annual goal of raising $30+ million from corporate and foundation donors globally. You will leverage your relationship-building and storytelling skills to identify, cultivate, and steward new partnerships, developing a successful fundraising strategy that includes building a robust pipeline of prospects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Business Development and Strategy (75%):**
* Raise $2-3+ million per year from companies and foundations, primarily targeting donors giving $50,000+ annually.
* Cultivate and steward long-term relationships with corporate and foundation donors.
* Develop strategies and craft compelling proposals and messaging to promote potential partnerships such as corporate sponsorships.
* Identify growth areas across global markets and support corporate and foundation fundraising in these locations.
* Coordinate with global office staff to support relationships and ensure integration with the overall development strategy.
* Build a pipeline for high-level funding awards and contributions from corporate and foundation donors; collaborate across teams to pursue strategic opportunities.
* Collaborate with the Chief Development and Communications Officer (CDCO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as necessary to co-manage and support key relationships and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan.
* Stay informed about organizational strategies, operational plans, and program details to recommend and present potential funding opportunities to donors.
* **Other Responsibilities (25%):**
* Participate in and contribute to the global accounts coordination group to collaborate with other CF relationship managers globally.
* Develop customized tools and resources for cultivation and stewardship activities.
* Write, edit, and/or coordinate clear, compelling materials including concept papers, letters of inquiry, proposals, presentations, reports, and additional materials as needed.
* Partner with the finance department to ensure budgets and financial reports are appropriately represented.
* Maintain current donor records in Salesforce, as needed.
**In your first 3-6 months, you will:**
* Familiarize yourself with Room to Read and the Global Partnerships team.
* Work closely with your assigned accounts, stewarding them and identifying growth potential.
* Support relationship managers with managing global accounts, contributing to strategy and resource development.
* Conduct prospecting activities.
**Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of direct experience in non-profit fundraising processes or client relationship management, preferably working with corporate and/or foundation philanthropy.
* Demonstrated ability to solicit and cultivate relationships with donors and employ successful stewardship strategies.
* Proven track record of obtaining corporate and foundation funding in the $50,000 to $250,000 gift range.
* Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to present data in an engaging way to external stakeholders.
* Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and priorities, pay close attention to details, and maintain a high level of organization.
* Excellent writing, editing, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
* Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
