Job Description

Institutional Giving at GiveIndia

GiveIndia over the last 2 decades has partnered with 140+ Corporates – from large ones like ICICI, HDFC, TCS, Google, Microsoft, Amex, KPMG, Coca-Cola to new age start-ups like Flipkart, Ola, Myntra and others – to shape the employee giving narrative in the country. The current pandemic needed us to shift gears on scale, design, mobilization, collectivisation and delivery. Through the India COVID Response Fund – we helped channelize over 800 Crores of Institutional Giving (Corporate CSR, Foundation Grants & Employee Giving). With this we have formally launched our Institutional Giving practice to make institutional giving “better. together” – more effective and scalable to drive better impact at scale

Role:

You will play a key role in scaling up the Institutional Giving practice and would be responsible to explore the sector and maintain an active pipeline of institutions (corporates/foundations) and U/HNI donors to partner with. Right from understanding the causes that appeal to the clients to collaborating with the program development team in GiveIndia to create value propositions that are cause aligned to front ending large multi donor and Multi partner program development to getting agreements executed & closing the deal – you will be involved in the entire process of driving growth for the organization

Role Requirements :

  • Have experience in creating & selling structured, customized solutions aligned with Client’s business goals. A good understanding of the CSR landscape and fundraising is desirable.
  • Work with potential Institutional clients to understand their philanthropy goals and design sales pitch/Proposals accordingly to win mandates for being their philanthropy partners.
  • Give India intends to be an end to end partner for institutional donors from advisory to providing the legal platform for fund mobilization and utilization to creating leverage by co-opting other donors into the program as relevant to providing impact assurance and transparency in governance and reporting.
  • Work closely with the GiveIndia Program team to support to both proactively and reactively develop compelling programs that have cause resonance with the objective that the design and implementation models maximise long term sustainable impact for the funding.
  • End to end relationship management with funding partners right from initial discussion to proposals to contracting to exception management in delivery and continuously grow the GiveIndia mandate with the funding partners.

  • Excitement about building a super scalable model of impactful institutional funding practice with an unique non-profit/startup teams of India
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced stretch flexible environment with the accountability of a fast scaling business
  • Have the imagination to think big while having a bias for action
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to hold conversations, negotiate and convince    stakeholders and the ability to become a trusted advisor to clients
  • 8 yrs of strong B2B sales/business development/partnerships background, with post graduation from a premier college / university
  • Exposure to the social sector through CSR roles/consulting or other intermediaries which involve interaction and program development with multiple stakeholders will be an advantage, though not mandatory.
  • ​Should be comfortable to work at lower compensation levels, as compared to the for-profit sector. Shift to a non- profit sector needs to be thought through well, at the time of applying for this role.
