## Job Description: Manager, Regional Partnerships – Ahmedabad

**Job Location:** Ahmedabad
**Experience Required:** 2-4 years of work experience managing teams and projects to excellent outcomes at scale.
**Position Summary:**
The Manager, Regional Partnerships will be a key member of the City Operations Ahmedabad team, leading Teach For India’s initiatives with external stakeholders towards a sustainable systemic impact on educational equity in the region. This role involves working closely with social organizations, Teach For India Alumni, Fellows, students, and other school teachers and leaders within and outside Teach For India intervention schools.
**Responsibilities:**
* Fostering Alumni collectives:
* Execute the regional strategy for Alumni in the region, developing quarterly milestones and action plans towards meeting regional roadmap goals.
* Design and curate learning and action spaces for regional Alumni to act collectively towards the regional vision.
* Nurture the growth and collaboration between Alumni organizations in the region.
* Build strong relationships with Alumni Entrepreneurs and the Regional Alumni Chapter committee to facilitate their progress.
* Sourcing career opportunities for Fellows & Alumni:
* Identify and engage with organizations that serve children from low-income communities in the region, providing opportunities for them to interact with and hire from our Fellow & Alumni pool.
* Cultivate a pipeline of key Alumni in the region and match them to roles aligned to the regional vision and their personal aspirations.
* Build an ecosystem of donors and other relevant partners that accelerate our work in the region, especially where barriers to entry are high.
* Building a larger movement for educational equity:
* Engage School Leaders and Head Masters of our partner schools and other schools in the region towards deepening their understanding about our movement, creating champions and building more leaders.
* Visit partner schools and classrooms; build relationships and invest in our school stakeholders in the vision and mission of Teach For India.
* Contribute to team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities.
* Serve as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity through internal and external communication.
* Support key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, and Movement Building.
**Minimum Qualifications & Skills:**
* 2-4 years of work experience managing teams and projects to excellent outcomes at scale.
* Strong sense of possibility with what is possible for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
* Strong competence in negotiating with a diverse set of stakeholders towards Teach For India’s vision and desired outcomes.
* Experience of having built strong relationships and having influenced others without authority.
* Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to adapt to change and work through unstructured environments.
* Ability to manage self, team, and time amidst multiple priorities.
* Ability to work collaboratively and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications & Skills:**
* Previous experience working in the development/education sector.
* Experience in building and managing high-functioning teams to targeted outcomes.
* Experience of having created deep, meaningful learning experiences and resources for adults through strong design-thinking capabilities, addressing both dynamic and diverse learning needs of individuals.
* Regional language proficiency preferred.
