WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organizations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, invites applications from candidates for the position of Senior Manager Fundraising Communications.

We are looking to recruit for an exciting position within WWF-India’s Marketing and Communications team, working with our Fundraising and Programme units within the organization. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing, communication, managerial and interpersonal skills.

Location: New Delhi

Job Profile:

  • Develop, implement, monitor, evaluate a comprehensive fundraising communications strategy for the organization.
  • Responsible for creating all communications, campaigns and collateral for WWF-India’s fundraising verticals – Retail, Corporate and Philanthropy, that is aligned with the organizations vision and communication strategy.
  • Work closely with Programme and fundraising teams to create compelling donor campaigns and asks and deliver on their expectations.

Excel at storytelling: 

  • Generate persuasive stories focused on our work and impact to create resonance with potential and existing donors
  • Transform facts and scientific data from Programme teams into engaging stories for various donor groups
  • Provide managerial direction in functional area. Nurture team member/s to develop knowledge and expertise and develop a solution-focused approach to all work.
  • Must have a proactive approach to Fundraising communications and the ability to preempt donor requirements hence create topical and relevant campaigns/collaterals which both lead and compliment ongoing FR efforts.

Requirements

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Abilities:

  • Graduate (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Communications. Prior Fund Raising / Performance resulting communications experience will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in visual messaging and informational graphics.
  • Experience in providing support to multiple stakeholders.
  • Candidate must have strong understanding of all social media platforms and will be required to generate content especially platform specific stories for donors. Must understand different audience requirements across platforms and create and execute a social media specific content plan.
  • Ensures that fundraising communications produced is timely and impactful.
  • Articulate WWF-India’s values, services, expertise, project impact.
  • Maintain quality checks across all forms of fundraising communication.
  • Judiciously use resources available to service various stakeholders.
  • Ensure that WWF-India’s branding guidelines including visual standards, verbal consistency are tone are adhered to at all times.
  • Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, ensuring a flow of communication across the organisation, sharing information, success and good practice.
  • Recognize communications opportunities and challenges, analyze data and use it to inform strategy and execution

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent powerpoint / presentation skills.
  • Should have the ability to deliver under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders with diverse requirements.
  • Must have eye for detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
  • Skilled storyteller and proven ability to communicate impact.
  • High level of professionalism, collaborative spirit, and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrable awareness of main donor/supporter profiles and engagement requirements, able to articulate these in a strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with stakeholders & deliver on agreed plan.
  • Confident, strategic and inspiring communicator
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and innovate to improve current approaches and processes.
  • Analytical mind with a strong team spirit and a can-do, problem-solving and results driven aptitude.
  • Conversant with design software such as Adobe Photoshop/ Adobe Illustrator/ Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be a forward thinker
