CSRBOX is diversifying its portfolio towards implementation with its flagship projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in the areas of Education, Livelihoods and Women Empowerment. We are looking for a dynamic Communications Manager, who can give shape to the new projects and work towards execution strategy of the same.
About the Position
Responsibilities
- Strategy development: Create comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization’s social impact goals and values. Identify target audiences and determine the most effective channels to reach them.
- Messaging and storytelling: Craft compelling narratives and messages that highlight the organization’s social impact efforts. Develop stories, case studies, and testimonials to effectively communicate the outcomes and benefits of the initiatives.
- Content creation: Produce various communication materials, such as press releases, articles, blog posts, social media content, videos, and presentations, to engage stakeholders and raise awareness about the organization’s social impact.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and community organizations. Foster dialogue, gather feedback, and address inquiries related to the organization’s social impact initiatives.
- Media relations: Cultivate relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure media coverage for the organization’s social impact activities. Proactively pitch stories and respond to media inquiries.
- Measurement and evaluation: Establish metrics and tracking systems to assess the effectiveness of social impact communication efforts. Monitor media coverage, engagement metrics, and stakeholder feedback to inform future strategies and tactics.
- Collaboration and coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, public relations, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of social impact initiatives with the overall organizational goals.
- Crisis communication: Develop protocols and strategies to handle potential crises or controversies related to the organization’s social impact efforts. Respond promptly and transparently to maintain trust and mitigate any negative impact.
- Stay updated: Keep abreast of current trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to social impact and responsible business practices. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the organization’s social impact communication strategies.
- Overall, a manager of social impact communication plays a crucial role in conveying an organization’s commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and positive change, effectively engaging stakeholders and driving awareness of the organization’s social impact initiatives.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
- 03-04 years of work experience in the social sector, with a background in handling communications in an education/gender-based NGO/Start-up or communication agency
- Proficient in designing software’s like Corel draw, Photoshop or online tools like Canva etc.
- Additional skills of working on mass mailing platforms etc. is preferable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and a functional knowledge (oral and written) of Hindi would be highly preferred
- A basic understanding of social equity, development discourse and Indian education and employability landscape
- Being able to take initiative and work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment
- Adaptability to changing responsibilities and resourcefulness to respond to them
- High openness to learning and ability to build and sustain relationships with multiple stakeholders & partners across public and private spaces
- Strong ability to create outstanding presentations, work with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and varied data sets
- Patience and resilience to stick it out in the face of setbacks and uncertainties
