About the Organisation:

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500 odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha and in Hyderabad.

About the project:

Role overview:

The Mission Manager will be responsible for managing the Lighthouse Communities PCMC City
Saturation project. S/he will ensure that the project is executed efficiently, meets its objectives, and adheres to budgetary and timeline constraints as well as collaborates with various stakeholders, including donors, team members, beneficiaries, and other internal and external stakeholders, to achieve
the project goals.

Your role to supplement the Organisational goals:

● Manage the effective and efficient end to end implementation and achievement of proposed outcomes of the PCMC Project. Responsibilities would entail Donor Engagement, Quality Delivery of Training, Achieving Placements, Government Relations, and Advocacy.

● Oversee the day-to-day execution of the project, ensuring deliverables are on track and within scope.

● Guide and coordinate with cross-functional team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. In addition, the person will be responsible for communicating the project progress and challenges to the leadership team.

● Address issues and challenges as they arise, making necessary adjustments to achieve project goals.

● Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Developing detailed project plans to track progress, ensuring resource availability and allocation.

● Project Risk identification and management.

● Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.

● Manage relationships with partners where required. Responsible for effectively and efficiently tracking the budget allocated for the projects.

Who we are looking for:

● Education: Master’s degree in Social work or Management preferably.

● Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Project Management preferably in a social impact organisation with Rs. 10 Cr+ budget

● High level of interpersonal skills and exhibits self-awareness

● Excellent written verbal communication skills; sound presentation abilities

● Exceptional team and stakeholder management skills.

● Strong networking and representation skills with both internal and external stakeholders

● Good research and data analysis skills with project planning, monitoring, and evaluation techniques.

● Good financial and budget management experience.

● Strong Leadership skills.

● Willing to travel extensively to and within project locations

● High personal and professional integrity

● In-depth understanding of the livelihoods sector and programs. (Preferred)

● Understanding of skilling needs for youth and the types of interventions needed (Preferred)
