**About the Role:**

Khan Academy India seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Analyst for a 12-month contract position.  The Analyst will play a crucial role in executing and guiding M&E projects, both internally and through third-party collaborations.  This involves developing logical frameworks, leading indicators, and monitoring strategies, as well as coordinating field activities with internal and external stakeholders.  The role offers exposure to exciting projects, including a randomized control trial in government schools evaluating the impact of the Khan Academy program and a pilot program for Khanmigo (a generative AI tool) in Indian schools.

**Responsibilities:**

* Designing M&E frameworks, including setting objectives, selecting indicators, and determining data collection and analysis methodologies.

* Managing data collection, storage, and ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

* Analyzing data to generate actionable insights and creating reports for stakeholders.

* Providing evidence-based recommendations to improve program strategies and performance.

* Building M&E capacity within the team and among stakeholders.

* Developing and strengthening monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures.

* Monitoring and evaluating project activities and progress.

* Conducting capacity assessments of existing M&E systems.

* Developing indicators, logical frameworks, and monitoring strategies for projects.

* Providing data and statistics for periodic reports.

* Suggesting strategies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

* Coordinating with external researchers and agencies on M&E projects.

**Qualifications:**

* Relevant experience in the Monitoring & Evaluation field is preferred.

* Experience in the social sector is required.

* Strong analytical skills and ability to utilize first-principle thinking.

* Passion for education and a desire to create positive impact.

* Experience executing qualitative and quantitative research, with a focus on theory of change and logical frameworks.

* Work experience or educational background related to the social sector; background in education/EdTech preferred.

* Proficiency in data wrangling/cleaning and conducting exploratory data analysis.

* Basic experience with R/Python and SQL.

* Ability to present research findings using clear visualizations (tables, charts, etc.).

* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
