Karuna-Shechen India works through the SRPC Trust and follows the rules and regulations of the Trust. Since we have recently started our intervention activities in the beautiful hill station of Darjeeling in West Bengal, we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and altruistic individuals to join our team to serve the people in the remote villages of Darjeeling. We work to serve the remote communities while fostering supportive and a healthy work environment for our team members.
In line with the requirements of Karuna-Shechen India, we are looking for a qualified individual to serve as the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer.
Job Overview: The Monitoring Evaluation & Learning officer will be responsible for conducting the monitoring and evaluation of the on-going interventions being conducted at the ground level. He/ She is expected to spend 60 per cent of their time in field and the remaining time for other project related activities assigned by the reporting officer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supporting the program monitoring functions of the project and maintenance of the different project MIS, including design of project-level M&E framework.
- Supporting data management and data analysis activities of program data.
- Carry out routine analysis of project data and provide feedback on the performance to the program team.
- Conduct assessments to identify problems and test solutions.
- Support design, field testing, and finalization of data collection tools and formats
- Carryout Routine Data Quality Assurance (RDQA) and provide feedback to the implementation teams.
- Support in designing and implementing capacity building initiatives for the implementation teams
- Maintenance of documentation related to M&E activities for program compliance including monthly and quarterly partner reports, meeting reports, etc.
- Any other responsibility as relevant to project implementation assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Strictly maintain proper feedback mechanism with his/her reporting officer.
- Follow transparency and accountability in all practices.
Requirements:
- Graduate in statistics, demography, sociology, or allied field with quantitative analysis training skills
- Having a minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Not more than 35 years of age
- Experience in developing data collection tools, primary data collection, conducting interviews, data entry and data management activities, and having analytical skills for carrying out data analysis
- Sound computer skills, including use of the Internet and MS Office software, basic/advanced use of excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of Hindi.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Self-disciplined and hardworking
- Salary for the position will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.
