Job Opportunity for MRF Operations Manager at Waste Warriors in Dehradun, Dharamshala

Position Brief

Waste Warriors Society has been entrusted by the Corporation authorities of Dehradun and Dharamshala to operate and manage their first solid waste management Material Recovery Facility in these cities. We are looking for recruiting Operations Managers at these locations to manage and run the MRF successfully and profitably. Someone who has entrepreneurial experience in running such facilities is also welcome to apply for this role provided the applicant meets all requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MRF
• Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor duties and tasks for the MRF Team
• Manage the team effectively and efficiently, with compassion and professionalism. Evaluate efficiency, quality, effectiveness, and results of operations and implement changes.
• Identify training and development needs of staff and plan and work with the HR department and Sr. Management to enable these
• Retain and develop good talent within the team
• Timely and accurate documentation and bookkeeping and compliance are mandatory
• Manage the Profit and Loss of the MRF
• Plan capacity of the MRF such that optimal capacity utilization happens for manpower, utilities, material
• Build the necessary network partnerships to ensure the inflow and waste and outflow of finished goods
• Ensure all norms and compliances are met and maintained current and reviewed periodically in an effective manner.
• Oversee monitoring of daily operations activities and document all related data, including waste collection and processing, service establishments, routes, and Dues collection.
• Plan business development and growth strategies for waste collection and transformation projects.
• Liaison and partner with similar organizations and government bodies to tackle waste management issues pertaining to our project.
• Responsible for ensuring the MRF is seen as a ‘bench mark’ in the waste management Search and plan for opportunities to replicate SWM models outside project locations.

Job Requirement

Looking for a Candidate who:

● Preferably has a qualification in Waste management.

● Is passionate about the environment and a cleaner world.

● Is at least bilingual (must be able to speak English and Hindi fluently).

● Has prior experience in MRF Operations
