**Job Description: Placement Manager**

 

**Location:** Madhya Pradesh  

**Experience Required:** 3-4 years in youth employability skills and placements

Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) (AKRSP-I), a programme of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), works across over 30 countries globally. The organization focuses on Agriculture and Climate Change, Work and Enterprise, and Rural Governance in regions including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

– Provide leadership for placement activities under the Skill Development initiative.  

– Build a robust employer database through networking with local and remote employers.  

– Establish active working relationships with corporate representatives, industry bodies, and placement officers.  

– Conduct employer engagement events and placement drives.  

– Develop an annual plan and calendar of placement activities in collaboration with local and head office teams.  

– Capacity-building for project staff to organize placement-related activities at training centers.  

– Plan and conduct employer engagement events such as talks, walk-ins, and campus drives.  

– Own placement targets aligned with project goals.  

– Create, maintain, and share reports as per program requirements.  

 

**Skills & Competencies Required:**  

– Good knowledge of youth skills development initiatives and employment opportunities.  

– Understanding of employment trends and recruitment processes in sectors like IT/BFSI/Retail/Management.  

– Strong training, mentoring, and mobilization skills.  

– Effective communication and marketing abilities.  

– Excellent relationship management skills, particularly with corporates and recruiters.  

– Proven team management capabilities.
