**Job Description: Program Associate – Food Loss and Waste**
**Location:** New Delhi, India
WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, seeks a **Program Associate** to support its Food, Land, and Water program. This role focuses on policy research and impact analysis related to food loss and waste in India.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Conduct policy analysis on food loss and waste reduction, identifying gaps, best practices, and opportunities for interventions.
– Analyze the effectiveness of existing policies and propose evidence-based recommendations.
– Develop frameworks to assess environmental, economic, and social impacts of food loss and waste.
– Identify and evaluate interventions within supply chains for feasibility, scalability, and impact.
– Manage research initiatives, ensure timely documentation, and coordinate with internal teams.
– Engage with stakeholders, including policymakers and civil society organizations, to drive policy dialogues and build partnerships.
**Qualifications:**
– Master’s degree in public policy, agriculture, food sustainability, economics, or environmental studies.
– 2-5 years of post-study research experience in food policy, supply chains, or impact analysis.
– Strong analytical skills with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative methods.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
