About the Secondary Schools Program
Quest Alliance has been working in the secondary school for the past few years. The program was initiated in 2015 with 4 schools. It scaled to 10 states in 2019 with the goal to reach out to 200,000 adolescent girls by the end of three years. The program will work with 8 to 10 implementing partners across 1000 government schools.
Role & Responsibility
Program Management
- Operational oversight of the program in 13 districts of Gujarat
- Work closely with thematics to ensure quality implementation of of Depth and Scale model
- Ensure operational plans are in place to achieve high quality delivery against program objectives, quality standards and targets.
- Lead the planning and review meetings and ensuring participation and quarterly reviews are conducted as planned
- Support the team to regularly review processes and materials.
- Lead on identifying and evaluate potential risks related to the impact of the program and take necessary steps to include risk mitigation in program reviews and design
- Lead the planning and execution of district level events such as hackathon, summer camp through the Facilitators
- Make regular visits to interact with the team and ensure program objectives are met and maintaining the Organization Culture
Relationship Management – Stakeholders (Internal and External)
- Lead the engagement & initiatives at District level and State level
- Ensure implementation of block/dist level ideathon/hackathon
- Ensure implementation of boots camps as cluster/block/District level
- Work closely with fellows to see over quality execution at school level
- Make visits to schools for both Depth and Scale Model
All these are to be done in coordination with the departments/schools as per the requirements.
Reporting
- Submit all the relevant monitoring reports on time. Ensure all the relevant data for the project is available well in time
- Work together with M&E focal point to track project progress based on the M&E framework
- Share quarterly reports with relevant Government officials and data for donor reporting
- Ensure the program process is documented and enough case studies are in place to show the impact or progress of the program.
- Ensure the data is analyzed and feeds into the planning and review meeting
- Be available for regular line management meeting and the appraisal processes
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- A Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any discipline (preferably social work, development, education, gender studies, rural development)
- 2-3 years of work experience preferably in the Education sector
- proven ability to network and establish collaborative relationships with a variety of actors, including Education department
- Willingness to travel extensively
- A strong personal commitment to the values of Quest Alliance
- Language Skills – Gujarat (mandatory) Proficiency in English for reporting purpose
