**Job Description: Programme Specialist – Agriculture**

**Education Qualification:**  

– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture  

 

**Experience Required:**  

– Minimum 5 years of grassroot agriculture extension work  

 

**Skills & Competencies required:**  

– Strong knowledge of Agriculture  

– Good command in Hindi and English  

– Proficiency in MS Office  

– Field activity organizer and manager  

– Efficient use of newer technologies  

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. Liaison with donors and government departments.  

2. Provide support to the team in agriculture projects.  

3. Training and capacity building for field staff, village leaders, and GO–NGO representatives.  

4. Prepare programme manuals, training manuals, and systems for programme effectiveness assessment.  

5. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SoP), strategy documents, and proposals.  

6. Focus on productivity enhancement, crop diversification, and sustainable agriculture practices.  

7. Establish market linkages to maximize the impact of agricultural production.  

8. Document case studies and prepare programme reports.  

9. Manage field data and photographs for donor reporting.  

10. Plan and implement agriculture budgets.  

11. Engage with local stakeholders such as agriculture universities, KVKs, NGOs, and technical organizations.  

12. Ensure timely reporting to donors in English.  

13. Perform any other tasks assigned by AKRSP(I) management.
