About the Classroom Instruction and Practice team:

CSF has adopted a system reform approach where we partner with State governments to design and scale high-quality foundational learning programs. Our focus is on improving the existing state programs and to this end, the CIP team works on raising the quality of tools, training, and support available for teachers and academic support personnel implementing foundational learning in the classroom. We do this by collaborating with our program partners in states in improving their programs, curating and designing research-backed exemplar public goods, and generating evidence on different aspects of early learning through action research.

The Project Associate, Classroom Instruction, and Practice (CIP) will serve as a critical enabler for all the team functions and support the team leaders in designing and operationalizing the team strategy. The key responsibilities are as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management support: Support the CIP leads (Project Director/SPL/PLs) on project management including creating project plans, dashboard, and progress trackers, scheduling/structuring meetings, and following through on communication via emails, calls, and messages.
  • Research and knowledge curation/creation: Conduct primary and secondary research on relevant topics related to teaching, learning, assessment, and curate/author knowledge products like blogs, research papers, and white papers.
  • Knowledge management: Facilitate the design and creation of a user interface to manage and share knowledge about products and public goods created by the CIP team
  • Support in on-ground research, monitoring, and data collection: Support the field teams in conducting on-ground action research in classrooms, designing and reviewing data collection tools and systems, collating data, and generating insights from the data. Supporting the SPL/PL in designing presentations to present the data to the organization leadership.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background from a Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institute
  • Short-term/internship experiences in conducting research in the field of education, policy, consulting, or any related domains
  • Ability to conduct primary (field visits, interviews) and secondary (internet, experts) research
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate succinctly through emails, presentations, blogs, & summary notes
  • Basic hard skills of working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Canva, and no/low-code apps
  • Agile in responding to changing demands, balancing multiple priorities, responsive to communication, and being available to be on call/on the field on short notice.
