Title: Project Coordinator

Mode: Contract, Three months (Mid-April – Mid – July 2022), Full time
Location: Bangalore (In person)

About FMCH : At FMCH India, we bridge the access gap towards maternal health and reduced child malnutrition. By enabling agency, choice and support for the women, we change health and nutrition practices in a sustained manner. We dream of a world no child is limited by poor early health or malnutrition. In the next 5 years, we want to reach 1 million families.

Remuneration: 25,000 – 35000 per month for two months

Context: FMCH has been operating in the slums of Urban Mumbai for over 15 years and we have shown significant reduction in malnutrition in the areas where we operate. The last few years have seen a rise of urban slums in Bangalore, and the rise of malnutrition among women and children. To combat this for Bangalore, we propose to start a programme. Before starting the programme, however, we would like to conduct a study of the current status of malnutrition in Bangalore. The role of the candidate would be lead the baseline assessment with a chance of full time employment as a project manager on starting the project.

As a part of this role you will:

• Analyse which part of Bangalore has high burden of malnutrition by connecting with other NGOs, government staff and on ground visits to various location etc.

• Liaison with NGOs to help with identifying frontline working and understanding the community

• Coordinate with FMCH Central team to understand the content and process of baseline

• Conduct Baseline training for the frontline workers in Kannada

• Be responsible for managing timelines and the team conducting the Baseline

• Conduct Anganwadi FGD or supervisor meetings

• Create a detailed report about the Baseline process and learnings and propose the plan of action/next steps

Apply if you have/are:

• Prior experience in project management in communities of Bengaluru

• Good written and verbal communication in Kannada and familiar with Bengaluru city

• Excellent community relationship building ability

• Resonate with the cause of women empowerment or public health

• Would like to work in MCH or nutrition or lead this project going ahead

Remuneration: 25 – 35K per month for the baseline
