PATH is at the forefront of finding and implementing effective approaches to improve maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition. Anemia control and its immense public health gains continue to be a low-hanging fruit that has evaded public health programs.

This position will lead a rigorous in-depth systematic review of the literature on interventions related to the diagnosis and treatment of anemia with primary and secondary consultations to develop a well-informed action plan for the country and the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

PATH seeks to recruit a Senior Program Officer (Anemia) position. S/he will be responsible for the overall coordination of all the activities in the project and ensuring the timelines are met as per project plans.

Responsibilities 

  • Drive the project to achieve the project objectives
  • Provide technical and strategic inputs to the project team
  • Managerial oversight and monitoring of the project
  • Assist in developing project strategy and work plan
  • Coordinate with partners and donors for project coordination and reporting
  • Represent the project work to the donors, central and state officials, partners, civil society, and private sector stakeholders
  • Travel to project states for monitoring and provide technical inputs
  • Establish and maintain strong working partnerships with all project partners and stakeholders
  • Development of annual work plans, progress reports, and other required deliverables 

Required Experience 

  • Post-graduate in Management/Public Health from a reputed university
  • 10 years of experience with the experience of leading landscaping and action plan development
  • Experience of work in the domain of anemia will be added advantage
  • Proven record of developing and maintaining strong and effective partnerships
  • Management skills, ability to create synergies, and interpersonal skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the project
  • Professional experience working with international donor organizations, civil society, and government organizations
  • Excellent written communication skills
