**About The Convergence Foundation:**
The Convergence Foundation, operating under the Foundation for Economic Development (FED), is a Delhi-based non-profit organization dedicated to achieving sustained, broad-based economic growth exceeding 10% in India. FED believes that robust economic growth is the most effective means of poverty reduction and improved quality of life. The organization focuses on high-potential sectors like Export-Led Labour Intensive Manufacturing and Tourism, collaborating with policymakers and state governments (including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu) to implement impactful reforms. FED’s advisory board includes prominent figures like Dr. Aravind Panagariya, Naushad Forbes, Gurcharan Das, Jerry Rao, and Ashish Dhawan. Their work encompasses research and strategy, communication and outreach, and implementation support.
**Position Overview:**
The Project Lead – Knowledge will lead research initiatives, producing impactful thought papers and knowledge products. This involves rigorous research, report development, publication, and presentation of insights to various stakeholders, including government bodies and private sector leaders. Current focus areas include Manufacturing Clusters, Indian Export performance, Tariffs, Pollution control norms, and EODB reforms.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct in-depth analysis and create high-quality reports and presentations.
* Design and execute research projects aligned with FED’s strategic goals.
* Engage with stakeholders to disseminate research findings and advocate for reforms.
* Drive FED’s thought leadership through knowledge paper publication.
* Manage the production of knowledge products showcasing FED’s research.
* Maintain communication with industry experts, government officials, and academics.
* Present complex economic concepts persuasively to diverse audiences.
**Qualifications:**
* Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
* 4-6 years of experience in economic research, policy analysis, or a similar field.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
* Excellent writing and presentation skills.
* Experience creating knowledge products (policy briefs, white papers, research summaries).
* Proven ability to engage with policymakers and stakeholders.
