Role and Responsibilities

1. Operations and Strategy

a. Lead the Project Management Unit of World Bank-AP SALT project based out of AP Ed. Dept. Office

b. Plan and execute all activity streams with adherence to timelines and financials

c. Lead meetings, communications and relationship management between Ei, AP and WB

d. Manage Ei’s internal information and knowledge repositories

e. Ensure error-free deliverables like assessment tools, analyses aligned to project requirements

2. Large Scale Assessments, Capacity Building and Technical Transformation

a. Manage all activities pertaining to creation and recruitment of State Assessment Cell

b. Plan, create and execute teacher training on competency-based assessments

c. Create and execute large scale benchmarking and diagnostics assessments at state level

d. Establish and develop technical capacity of the state to create and conduct high-quality assessment

3. Organizational Development

a. Ensure capacity building and training of the team through regular learning and development

b. Expand the scope of projects by high quality dissemination- States Interaction, working papers etc.

c. Travel for the project needs and documenting trip reports of the same appropriately

Skillset

Must have

1. Interest in and understanding of India’s education landscape

2. The ability to own, manage and develop an entire project management team end to end

3. Excellent oral and written communications and stakeholder management skills

4. The ability to learn fast, and grasp Educational Initiatives’ model and business

5. The ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently as a self-starter

6. Being detail-oriented, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

Education

• Postgraduates in Management, Operations, Education, Humanities or Social sciences preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in delivering large-scale education programs working with the government
• Fluent in written and verbal communication in English and Telugu
