Tech Mahindra Foundation is the Corporate social responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, a Mahindra Group Company. The Foundation set up in 2007, as a Section 25 Company (referred to as a Section 8 Company in the Companies Act, 2013), has been working tirelessly in the areas of education, disability and employability with a keen focus on corporate volunteering. It operates across eleven locations in India.

The Foundation has been running SMART Academies (since May 2016) with the intent of offering more advanced and longer-term courses in some specialized vocations. At present, the Foundation runs ten SMART Academies, including five SMART Academies for Healthcare, three SMART Academies for Digital Technologies and three SMART Academy for Logistics. The goal of setting up these Academies was twofold — create, build and nurture youth to develop skills in specific industries including healthcare, digital technologies and logistics along with uplifting country’s youth and transforming them into world-class professionals. The Academies offer both diploma and certificate (by the qualified professionals) courses.

About Delhi Academy;

Launched in May 2016, the Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare, Delhi is a state-of-the-art paramedical training institute in New Delhi, established as a CSR initiative of Tech Mahindra Foundation. It aims at creating a cadre of well qualified, trained healthcare professionals by providing high quality innovative and interactive training to young men and women. The Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare has been set-up in collaboration with Harijan Sevak Sangh – a social development organisation, founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1932 at Kingsway Camp, New Delhi. The Academy trains professionals through a number of paramedical diploma courses and certificate courses. Well-equipped laboratories, highly qualified healthcare professionals, on-the-job training in leading hospitals along with an array of extra-curricular activities among verdant greenery have created a world class institution. The Academy lays the foundation of life-long learning as a powerful way to tap into potential employment opportunities for youth in search of professional skilling opportunities. Continuous upgradation, self-improvement and strong processes are part of the Academy’s core philosophy.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Shall be the Administrative Head of the Academy responsible for efficient operation of the Academy in line with the objectives and guidelines from Tech Mahindra Foundation.
  • Shall be contributing for producing / improving various Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring compliance thereof at all times.
  • Responsible for critical areas like Mobilization, Internship and Placement.
  • Responsible for obtaining Accreditations and memberships of various bodies and renewal thereof in line with the courses being offered.
  • Accountable for the quality of training at the Academy and to strive for enhancing the benchmark to match the international standards.
  • Building relationships with NGOs, Associations, bodies corporate, government departments and other organizations in the Healthcare Sector.
  • Shall be responsible for placement of students and develop a network of employers.
  • Shall be responsible for the delivery of quality training in academics and on the job training for all students.
  • Shall constantly monitor and update the quality of training from time to time as required by the Regulatory body/standards set by the Management Committee.
  • Shall take up any other administrative task as assigned by the Program Director

Desired Skill Set

  • Should have a clear understanding of all the processes like HR & Admin as the all-other processes governing a large training institute from Registration to Assessment along with handholding and importance of an Alumni Association.
  • Should have a reasonable understanding of commercial functions e.g., budgeting, purchase, finance etc.
  • Having fair geographical know-how and skill development requirements in the region would be added advantage.
  • Experience in managing vocational training projects in healthcare, paramedics, allied healthcare is preferred.
  • Good communication and reasoning and interpersonal skills.
  • Good Team management and organization skills.
  • Willingness to learn with a flexible approach.
