This is a remote position.
Gramhal develops technologies to solve social problems at scale. To scale these tech solutions, buy-in from government partners at the State and Central levels is crucial. In order to create successful government partnerships, Gramhal is seeking a Public Policy Associate, who will advocate for the adoption of Gramhal’s solutions and persuade buy-in from government stakeholders. The candidate will ensure partnerships are executed in line with the organization’s priorities, and position them to align with the aims of relevant Government Agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Research: Stay current with government initiatives that are relevant to the organization. Analyse and interpret policy developments that might impact Gramhal’s mission. Recommend proactive strategies to guide our actions and responses.
- Network: Creatively network within the relevant government departments and with potential advocates within the government.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage intentionally with government officials to represent Gramhal’s views and build and maintain beneficial relationships. Understand and articulate the agendas of diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead pilot experiments by mobilising the required resources including team members and freelancers to implement projects within the government domain.
- Product Management: Ensure product features developed for the government partnership projects are of high quality and delivered on time while keeping in mind Gramhal’s resource objectives.
- Communications: Create communications materials that can be shared with the government to represent Gramhal’s work.
Requirements
- Exceptional Research Abilities: Capable of thorough and objective research on varied topics, synthesising information into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinking: Understanding the government as a faction with its own interests and developing a strategy to execute Gramhal’s agenda.
- Product thinking: Ability to design and run pilots with a motivation to find solutions that can be scaled within the government ecosystem.
- Communication mastery: Listening to stakeholders and “reading between the lines”, articulating Gramhal’s work. Ability to translate complex policy matters into concise reports for the Gramhal team. Networking with external stakeholders and cold calling.
Benefits
Remuneration: INR 15-18 LPA
All field travel will be additional.
You will be provided mentorship by an external experienced researcher.
