**Job Title:** Regional Development and Operations Lead (South)

**Position Summary:**
The Regional Development and Operations Lead will be responsible for building sustainable funding partnerships and leading the operations vertical within the Development team across three Teach For India cities (Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru). This role reports to the Director, Development and directly manages a regional development team and an operations team.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Fundraising:** Secure funding through acquiring new donors, deepening existing partnerships, leveraging regional advisory boards, and cultivating local champions. Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including goal setting, progress review, and execution.
* **Partnership & Movement Building:** Support partnership and movement building efforts to advance development goals within the region. Share best practices and synthesize learnings from the donor portfolio and regional work.
* **Operations:** Ensure quality control in development-related systems and processes (finance, regulatory compliance, Salesforce, audits, knowledge management). Liaise with other organizational verticals to streamline development requirements. Oversee financial management, regulatory, and legal needs. Maintain accurate donor data in Salesforce and drive data-driven insights. Ensure adherence to MOU commitments and organizational policies. Structure and project manage processes to solve team challenges and advise the Director on short-term and long-term decisions.
* **People Management:** Build a strong talent pipeline, manage and coach team members, drive engagement and retention, and oversee a monitoring and evaluation system.
* **Senior Management Contributions:** Contribute to broader team goals, drive internal alignment, serve as a Teach For India ambassador, and support organizational areas like recruitment, fundraising, and movement building.
**Qualifications:**
* **Minimum Qualifications:** Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any field; 5-8+ years of relevant experience in client-facing roles; excellent written and verbal communication skills (demonstrated through proposal or grant writing); strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong project management skills (managing multiple complex projects).
* **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in the development/education sector or with corporates/foundations/HNIs; experience working with CXOs/Senior Management; working knowledge of Salesforce and other CRM programs.
