About the Project

Integrated Water Resources Assessment of Upper Berach Basin (Ahar River): This project is aimed at studying water resource systems of Udaipur with a focus on catchment of Ayad River. The project primarily has two parts – it aims to establish a mass balance of the system through hydrological modelling and the second part is involving citizens in understanding hydrological cycle and water systems through citizen science.

Qualification: M. Sc. or M. Tech in Water Sciences / Environment Science with interest in water

Job Type: 6 months contract, to be extended to 1 year based on the performance

Location: Udaipur

Professional Experience: 0 – 2 years in relevant sector

Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate with an interest in water sector from an inter-disciplinarian approach. Primary role of the candidate is to assist the existing project team in citizen science interventions, and other research areas as and when they come up.

Responsibilities:

  • Data collection in field.
  • Analysis of data.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and project partners.
  • Leadership/ ownership of assigned task.
  • Reporting project findings and progress in form of reports, blogs, articles, etc.
  • Regular and clear communication with manager and internal and external team members on status of assigned project.
