About Asha Kiran

Asha Kiran – the hope project is rebuilding the lives of extremely poor affected post-COVID-19 via a network of credible non-profits in partnership with the government. The project targets poor rural women, migrant/construction laborer families to provide immediate and long-term support with women at the center and by building on SHG networks. The/Nudge is working with Uttar Pradesh’s State Rural Livelihood Missions, non-profits, and private sector organizations to help scale the livestock models targeting the poor.

In an effort to promote rural livelihoods centred around small livestock management, we are working and scaling the livestock initiatives by providing research, value-chain design, capacity building, and technical support. This role will be part of the product team responsible for the design and development of livelihood solutions for the communities we serve.

At The/Nudge You Will

  • own the end-to-end research that helps us better understand our users (small & marginal women farmers) and their supporting stakeholders at various levels, and the effectiveness of the program
    design and deliver research studies that would involve strategic and operational planning for the research, data collection & analysis, presentation of learnings
  • create clear actionable presentation of insights & learnings that effectively communicate the findings in a way that creates empathy and understanding with our users
  • work across projects with various team members in planning, designing, and implementing research strategies
  • work closely with our program partners, to facilitate the research in group discussions to in-depth-interviews to field research with the use of appropriate tech-based tools/ framework
  • be an advocate of user-centric research within the program and the org, with an unbiased but data-influenced approach (with help of workshops/ collaborative exercises)
  • easily flow between lean quick evaluations, and deeper robust studies

Apply If You Have

  • graduate, post-graduate degrees
  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • a strong bias for user-centered design, action, and result-orientation
  • the problem-solving ability under uncertainty
  • demonstrated ability and willingness to learn continuously, collaborate and be open-minded
  • a strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently
  • fluency in Hindi and English
  • willingness to stay and travel in deep rural areas

Would Be Great If You Have

  • experience in user research in the rural development or social impact space
  • experience in programs designed around or with SHGs, Community Institutions
  • experience in developing technology-led solutions
