Position: Sr. Associate – Human Resources

Team: Human Resources

Location: Nagpur

Compensation: Based on skill sets, experience and sector standards

Reports to: Manager, Human Resources

Position Summary: As the Senior Associate Human Resources (HR), you will be responsible for supporting the HR team in a variety of HR activities including Recruitment, Onboarding, Volunteer Management, Data Management, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and other HR initiatives.

Overview of the Team: The HR team at Akanksha partners both with school teams and with Central support functions, to provide high quality HR support in achieving the organization’s mission and objectives. The HR team is responsible for effective recruitment, performance management and development and employee engagement at Akanksha, and ensures that organizational policies are adhered to at all levels.

What your role will entail:

● Supporting Nagpur schools as HR poc in handling the entire HR relatedactivities.

● Sourcing & Recruitment : Responsible for the complete recruitment cycle for entry level to mid senior level roles. Designing and implementing the recruitment strategy for key and niche roles. .

● Manage Employee Onboarding and effectively inducting the new employeesinto the Akanksha system in collaboration with Managers

● Strategic partnership : Partnering and identifying engagement initiatives with external organizations and institutes for recruitment and volunteering opportunities.

● Collating and providing payroll inputsforsalary processing of Employees and consultantsfor every pay period.

● Managing Exit process and full and final settlement payout.

● Support in creating retention and exit Analysis

● Support in driving the Performance Management system and Training based on theAkanksha Development Model

● Data Management & HR analytics

● To execute all HR policies and processes and ensure quality and timely implementation

● Actively participate and engage in other initiatives planned by the team

What you need for this Position


● 3-5 years’ experience in relevant work experience in HR roles.

● Proven experience in Hiring and data management.

● Experience of working in development and non- profit sectorspreferred.


● Excellent Planning & Organizing skills

● Excellent time management and organization skills

● Great attention to detail and accuracy

● Highly motivated with self driven attitude

● Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders

● Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

● Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

● Strong analysis and statistical expertise preferred


● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Preferably in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology)
