Senior Associate, Learning & Insights

About the role

SEF is committed to delivering high-quality learning across our Centres of Excellence. Towards this, SEF is looking to create student and teacher-facing products that will enable excellent education and high quality learning in classrooms. This role will be cross-functional (working across programs and contexts) to research, create, test, and improve the design of products and services. 

We currently have eight Centres of Excellence in Delhi (Urban) and Tehri, Uttrakhand (Rural), running various context-based interventions to transform learning in government schools. 

The Centres of Excellence works at the intersection of educators, Students, Community and School Systems, thereby effectively impacting and involving all stakeholders to take ownership and create a sustainable space that supports and nurtures excellent education.

Please note this role will require you to travel to our Program Locations – Delhi and Tehri. 

How can you succeed in this role?

  • By supporting Centres of Excellence, Urban and Rural with the design of research and evidence-based student and teacher-facing resources like teacher guides, student books, and teacher practice cards for their programs.
  • By testing designed products and services with stakeholders across Centres of Excellence (urban and rural)
  • By deriving learnings and insights from testing to improve design, contextualise, and make quick iterations in products and services
  • By maintaining documentation of the design and testing process and learnings derived for the internal team, org and external audience
  • By collaborating with other teams to take products and services to scale

Requirements

Collaboration & Design

  • Is proficient in developing and designing curricula for primary grades
  • Engage meaningfully with stakeholders and adapt strategies to balance stakeholder needs and goals of intervention to ensure a win-win partnership
  • Look for viable solutions with team members to meet goals.

Data Analysis

  • Collect & Analyse data and generate reflections/trends towards interventions for self and stakeholder using excel, docs etc
  • Design Data tools to meet Intervention needs and goals
  • Is adept in deploying research methodologies to support interventions 

Project Management

  • Manage their own schedule and prioritise tasks based on goals independently without support to meet the desired outcomes of the program.

Continuous Learning

  • Reflect on their actions, strengths, weaknesses and intervention, and it’s impact on children & stakeholders.
  • Seek opportunities to grow in their challenges and learning needs and leverage their learnings and strengths towards program needs.

Feedback 

  • Observe interventions, programs, and practices and give feedback which is clear, direct and evidence-based

Knowledge

  • Intermediate excel skills, pedagogical practices
  • Knowledge of stages of  child development
  • Prior Knowledge of curriculum content and pedagogical practices preferred(at least grades 1-3)
  • Familiarity with human-centred design 

Experience 

  • 3-4 years of experience in the education sector, specifically in teaching, curriculum development  or teacher training for Primary grades
  • High preference will be given to those who have prior research experience.

  • Compensation will be between Rs 6,50,000 – Rs 7,50,000 based on the experience of the candidate and will include the following perks:
