Timely and high-quality delivery of goals would be essential and will be a key performance measurement criterion. He/she will primarily be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of quantitative and qualitative data gathered by the organisation and the organisation’s partners. The Senior Executive, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER), serves as a key member of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) team. 

About You

· The Senior Executive, MER, reports to the Lead, MER, India, and works with the program implementation team, donors, program partners, and program beneficiaries to help design, implement, and manage organisation’s programs in India.

· The Senior Executive supports completeness and timeliness of data flowing in from our Vision Access Programs and provides backstopping support to internal and external requests for data reports. The Senior Executive will contribute towards developing funding proposals, supporting ongoing and new external research projects and conduct learning, monitoring, and evaluation activities to improve programmatic activities. 

· The Senior Executive will be a key member of the organisation’s MER team.

What You’ll Do

Lead on operationalising specific aspects of MER strategy by:

· Supporting the implementation of impact studies and research collaborations to enhance program quality and build the evidence base around our programs.

· Work closely with the operations team to ensure regular checks on the effectiveness of our data flow processes and systems and review them as necessary with the MER team.

· Generating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations for the program teams through Salesforce reports and dashboards, Excel tables, charts, and data visualisations.

· Designing questionnaires to support the capture of data from our partners and program participants, operationalising those questionnaires through either paper forms or online platforms, and conducting analysis of the data those questionnaires produce.

Strengthen the culture of improvement across the organisation through effective cross-functional collaboration:

· Work closely with program/operations vertical to support internal teams by building capacity and providing easy to understand insights from their monitoring data and the qualitative studies to inform programmatic decisions, including case studies, data visuals, and other materials.

· Work closely with Lead, MER, to generate learnings that are easy and clear to communicate and actionable to improve our internal approach and external positioning.

· Work relentlessly in the data trenches as part of the MER team.

·  Dig deep into our CRM to check, validate, and clean data. This supports MER work towards program review, evaluations, research studies, etc. 

· Actively work to gain mastery of new skills, as required for the MER vertical to produce the highest quality of output.

Requirements

· 5-7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation roles.

· Advanced Excel is a must (e.g., highly proficient using pivot tables and Power Query). Hands-on experience in using statistical software (e.g., STATA/SPSS/R) would be a plus. 

· Experience of producing reports from a CRM database (preferably Salesforce). 

· Strong understanding of the dimensions of data quality, and experience of making measurable improvements in the data quality of organisations.

· Experience of taking vague report requests and working with stakeholders to hone tightly defined report requirements.

· Attention to detail in checking analytical outputs for errors.

· Expertise in project management through effective project planning, foreseeing challenges, raising them in time and working collaboratively on mitigating them.

· Strong communication skills in articulating complex numbers in straightforward language to non-technical stakeholders

· Experience in oversight of rigorous evaluations and research projects, preferably including health programs would be an added advantage.
