About Indus Action
Indus Action is a ‘’do-tank’’ to bridge the gap between law and action with social justice at the center of our mission. Indus Action works towards securing a social protection safety net for vulnerable families by providing sustainable access to a portfolio of welfare entitlements and rights (POWER). Our approach tackles multiple deprivations experienced by vulnerable families. It provides educational access to children, maternity entitlements to pregnant and lactating mothers, income and social security support to parents and senior citizens and universal healthcare to all family members to irreversibly move vulnerable families out of poverty.

Position Summary –
The Senior Manager Finance will be required to work closely with both internal & external stakeholders.
They would be expected to provide technical support and guidance to team members and ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws. They would be responsible for the creation and analysis of utilization reports, budgets and other financial reports as required by different stakeholders. They would be expected to support the creation/review of multiple compliance reports.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities (including KRAs)
- Ensure Monthly Account closing as per schedules including maintenance of Fixed Assets register, depreciation calculation, physical verifications etc. and maintaining adequate records up to date .
- Monthly review of payroll process.
- Preparation of monthly MIS dashboard along with variance analysis.
- Ensure timely deposit of dues, preparation of returns, reconciliation with Books of Accounts; filings and resolving queries with department and co-ordination with respective consultants Goods & Service Tax, Employee Taxation, TDS,PF & ESI.
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations
- Finalization of books of account for preparation of Financials as per Company act-2013 and Income Tax Act-1961
Knowledge and Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Grant Accounting and processes related to managing and documenting grants, legal compliances ensuring adherence to Accounting Policy and Accounting Standards.
- Proficient in Budgeting , Forecasting , re-forecasting and related tools to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of the following Acts and Laws –
- Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Act 2020;
- The Central Goods And Services Tax Act, 2017;
- Company Act, 2013;
- Income Tax Act, 1961;
- Any other laws applicable/ relevant to the NPO sector.
- Expertise in Tally Prime, Computex , MS Office and Google Sheets and Doc.

Education and Experience –
- 2-3 years of Experience
- Required Qualification/ Degree – Chartered Accountant/ MBA in Finance
