Job description:
Development Alternatives Group has been promoting ‘inclusive entrepreneurship’ a phenomenon that is characterized by systemic change that enables under-represented groups such as youth and women to access entrepreneurship opportunities, thereby leading to social inclusion, quality employment, and sustainable economic growth. In the pursuit of the above, our programs leverage social innovation tools to unleash entrepreneurial energies in women & youth and build positive ecosystems.
Our approaches in flagship projects such as Work 4 Progress have been recognised as best practices by the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank for entrepreneurship led job creation. It has also been featured as a UN SDG good practice.
The main tasks to be performed by the candidate would be as under:
• Development and implementation of innovative models and tools for enabling access to credit, marketing and training for micro entrepreneurs.
• Documentation of implementation, observations and case studies for reporting
• Track progress of the models and develop potential linkages with the larger ecosystem
• Capturing learnings and data from ground and create analytical reports for communication and knowledge products
• Maintenance (accelerated data collection, validation and tracking new metrics) of dashboards for enterprise development programs
• Will be responsible for directly working with field team and entrepreneurs to provide enterprise support services
DESIRABLE QUALITIES:
- This project is based on women empowerment and hence, canditates with a keen desire to work closely with rural women communitites are encouraged to apply.
- Self-starter, practical, creative and problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Strong orientation towards analysis of quantitative data and developing analysis for external communication.
- Able to travel in rural India for at least 10 days a month (once travel is safer).
REMUNERATION: As per organization’s salary disbursement structure and commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate.
